Privacy policy
Last updated November 7, 2026. The short version: we only collect what we need to send you the weekly list, we never sell it, and you can leave any time.
What we collect
- Newsletter signups: your email address and, if you choose, the general area you live in. We use these only to send the weekly list and to make it more useful for your area.
- Contact form: your name (optional), email and message, so we can reply.
- Spam protection: to stop abuse of our forms, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for about an hour. We don't store your actual IP address.
- How people use the site: see "Microsoft Clarity" below.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site, for example which sections get scrolled past or which buttons are hard to tap, so we can make the list easier to use. Clarity collects usage data through first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies, including clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and records sessions in a way that hides text you type into forms. We don't use it to identify you.
The data is collected and stored by Microsoft. To learn more, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement and how Clarity handles data.
Email newsletter
We may use an email service (such as Kit) to send the newsletter. Your email is shared with that service only to deliver the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your information through our contact page.
We never sell, rent or trade your email address.
Advertising and cookies
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense to help keep the list free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Children's privacy
This site is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
